Why do we train?

As early as the 6th century B.C. the great masters of warfare firmly understood the purpose and reasoning behind training, preparedness and being mindful of situations that one could be faced with at any moment. Superior Protection & Consultancy believes strongly in three simple words:

 “Practice makes perfect”

Why do we have fire drills? The reason is simple, to save lives in the event of a fire. How do we know what to do in the event of such an emergency? We practice or TRAIN beforehand, acting in a proactive/pre-emptive manner before disaster strikes! Training increases survivability in an emergency no matter what the situation by allowing us to rely on our gross motor skills that have been adapted or trained to react a certain way!

Professional militaries and counter insurgency agencies around the globe, no matter what their religion, culture, or ethnic background will all agree that for soldiers and security professionals to remain sharp and efficient in his/her trade, he/she must do one thing: Train and more importantly train as you would fight!

British Special forces have stated that a human being must complete a motion 10,000 to 15,000 times before it starts to become second nature or a natural reaction.

However, training is not limited to the physical aspect. Being mentally prepared is just as important - if not more important all together. You could be the strongest person physically but if in your mind you do not believe that “you can do it” then all of that muscle and physical fitness is simply wasted.

Superior Protection & Consultancy believes in building strength in body and mind!

We train all of our executive and close protection team members to believe that in our line of work we prefer brains over Braun. That you’re training can and will allow you to think your way out of most conflicting and compromising situations, and that these types of situation usually can be avoided when given the proper training!
